I am obsessed with Korean beauty and skincare products and I just want to extend my wee collection. When I was in TKMaxx, raiding their beauty department for something new and exciting when I spotted this egg. Just sitting there, looking a little lonely. I noticed that it was made by the brand TonyMoly and I am a huge fan of their hand cream, so I knew I had to try this out too.
Now, I put off using this blackhead treatment for a while because the instructions were not in english and I wasn’t 100% sure if it was a face mask or something else. The texture is really surprising, because I thought it would be quite wet and slimy but it is actually quite firm and thick, but because I didn't quite know what to do with it I put it aside and I kind of forgot about it.
Whilst I was creating my Cult Beauty Wish List post, I came across the TonyMoly Egg Pore Blackhead Steam Balm - what a mouthful of a name - on their website and low and behold they had directions on how to apply it. It is not a face mask but instead, it is like a balm with charcoal powder and sea salt to help exfoliate your skin. When you apply the balm to your face it reacts and warms on the skin acting like a ‘steam’ and the constancy changes and feels really rich and creamy.
I applied a little too much to my face because I was only going to massage it in to the skin on my nose and chin because that is where I get black heads, but because Ia applied a little too much, I just went ahead and exfoliated my whole face. It feels so lovely on the skin and it smells beautiful - I can sense a little bit of Lemon, but I wouldn’t trust my sense of smell right now as I have been quite ill lately.
