Walk this way... Brow this way...
It was only last year that I discovered how different a little bit of eyebrow love goes a long way. Learning what the best shape of eyebrow would suit my face was interesting and finding the right tools and products to achieve the desired look took a wee while.
To find out if I would suit thickening my eyebrows I actually used a light brown eyeshadow - purely because I didn't want to go out and buy different eyebrow pencils to find out if I suited it or not. Turns out, I did suit it and it turns out that I have been living my life without clear facial expressions. No wonder people look confused when they speak to me.
I begin my eyebrow shaping routine by using tweezers to achieve the desired shape. Once I am happy with the grooming I used a Rimmel London Dark Brown Eyebrow pencil to fill in the shape of my eyebrows. I use this very lightly as I don't want to scare any small children with chunky eyebrows that resemble fluffy caterpillars. I use the little brush, that is attached to the lid of the pencil to guide my eyebrows in place but they never seem to stay put... until now.
A couple of months ago I visited boots on my lunch break to pick up a new eyebrow pencil and I seen this little beauty beside them. After looking at it for a while I decided to give it a try because it didn't cost the earth and it might just be what I have been missing from my eyebrow maintenance routine. This little mascara looking tube contains a gel that helps keep those pesky little hairs in place and it also tints your eyebrows. I chose the same shade of brown that I use for the pencil so that I don't look like a muppet. If you want to have thick eyebrows then this will help you along the way to achieve that look.
I would say that the gel keeps everything in place for about 5 hours - so if you are out of the house all day, then I recommend that you pop it in your handbag and take it with you. The only negative point that I have for this Rimmel Eyebrow gel is, if you are not careful then it will pick up the little hairs that you forgot to pluck. Now this point can actually be turned into a positive thing too because this means that you will have a cleaner brow shape after you pluck them. But because this gel is tinted it will darken blonde hairs. So stand by with tweezers.
How do you keep yours in shape?
