When I took these photos last week, the sun was finally staying out longer and it felt like Spring was just around the corner – hence the sunglasses. As I write this blog post, there is snow lying on the ground outside, the temperature has dropped and I am sitting in a big snug chair with a duvet and a massive cup of tea. It is March. Typical.
Living in Scotland, it is very rare that we see direct sunlight. So over Winter it is no surprise that we turn to thick woolly jumpers and refuse to shave our legs. No? No one else does that? Just me then. When the weather finally started to feel a little warmer, I was so excited to start wearing more exciting outfits like my pink silk blouse with this jazzy cat print without the worry of freezing my tits off.
Well I was wrong. I was so cold when we were shooting this, so that is probably why there is no expression on my face. Mind you, I always look like this in photos.
Whilst travelling round Europe last Summer – how pretentious does that sound? – I nipped in to Zara and came across this blouse and fell in love with it. The bow that comes down is meant to wrap round the back and I believe that it is designed to be cropped, but I don’t feel very comfortable wearing it like that. Also, I think it is meant to be oversized on a smaller frame, but hell, if I can button it up I am happy.
Pairing it with my pastel pink bag and lilac coat was a good move. I struggled to think of what other jewellery I could wear with it, but I think that if I were to add anything else it would just ruin the look.
