Blending is the key to any good contouring.
The next post from my New Look Pure Colour cosmetics haul series is all abut the Contour Stick that New Look has created. This particular product comes in three different shades and they are the perfect shades to blend together to achieve the most natural looking contour.
I purchased the lightest tone and the mid tone because I rarely use dark brown contouring products as I always have the fear that I won't blend it properly and it will look strange. Now for this post, I felt that there was no need to explain how to contour as there is millions of blood posts and YouTube videos that show you different ways to achieve the perfect contouring style for you. I am here to talk about this product.
Like the some of the other products I have reviewed from this cosmetics haul, I am loving the packing from New Look. The tubes for the product though do see4ma little cheap, but I guess that is how they keep this product so affordable at only £4.99.
The effect of this product gives you full coverage and feels strange for me to apply - but I think that's because I have always used powdered products for contouring. When using this product as a contouring stick the tones blend perfectly into each other and they also help hide any blemishes on the skin. Using the id tone really gives a subtle contour, so I actually wish I did purchase the darker tone to give my look a little more oomph.
I then went and tested this product as a foundation, I just applied an even coat all over my face and then used a beauty blender to make it look at natural as possible and I was so surprised at how perfectly the light tone matches my skin tone. I don't normally like full coverage but I am loving this Foundation Contour Stick from New Look Pure Colour Cosmetics. I think that this product is going to be a recurring beauty essential for me.
Do you love to contour?
