Liquid Foundation and Bonzer just got a make over, and I am so happy. When it comes to beauty products I tend to be quite loyal to certain brands. Not to say that I don't try other brands, it is just that I know what works well for my skin type and what works well for what I want to achieve.
For my foundation, there are only a few products that I have fallen in love with and that I use on a regular basis. So when I started to run out of my usual foundation - and even my back up bottle - it was time to hit the shops and find something new. I go to Boots for any beauty essentials because their range is insane and you can always find something amazing, right? Whilst dragging E around each counter with me, I could see that he was getting bored so I knew I had to be quick. Whilst looking at the L'Oréal stand I noticed their Cushion Product display and knew I had to try it out for myself.
A friend of mine - whose blog your can find here - highly recommend me to try out the Bronzer, so I grabbed that too. At the moment Boots is stocking them at £9.99 (an introductory price, usually £14.99) and L'Oréal have a 3for2 offer on, so a perfect excuse to pick up another treat for yourself.
In store they did not have a sample pot of the L'Oréal Cushion products open. To find your perfect match, they have a little tubes of their foundation which you can test. At first I was a little frustrated because I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Why was this product so revolution for the Beauty world. When I got home and opened the pots, I realised why they didn't have display pots.
Inside the L'Oréal Cushion pot you will find a compact mirror in the main lid, a sealed lid that protects the product with a cute tiny sponge applicator that rests on top. Once you have opened the second lid you are greeted with the product. For me, it resembles a light fluffy moose but it is a sponge that is soaked in Foundation (or Bronzer) and all you have to do is tap the applicator lightly on to the sponge.
The L'Oréal Paris Nude Magique Cushion foundation formula they have created is highly build-able - something that I always look for in a liquid foundation - and when you apply it lightly it gives a beautiful dewy effect. At the moment I have been applying foundation a little heavier than I normally do, just because my skin is having a bit of a crisis. Adding more make up to my face is probably making it worse, but I get really paranoid about my skin when it flares up.
The L'Oréal Paris Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil bronzer formula is to die for. The colour is perfection, It is extremely easy to apply and even easier to blend. Using a liquid bronzer is new for me. I normally use a bronzing powder or a bronzing stick to create a contour look, so at first I was a bit apprehensive with the liquid bronzer. But as soon as I applied it, I fell head over heels for it.
You need to try the L'Oréal Cushion products out. Now.
Have you tried it yet? If so, share your thoughts.
