When it comes to wearing any kind of animal print, I have to question whether or not I look like Pat Butcher. If the answer is yes, then that particular animal print number needs to be removed from my wardrobe and burned - and if you don't know who that is, then you need to Google her.
I have spoke about my wardrobe before - multiple times in fact - and how it seems to be lacking colour of late. Mostly because I have to wear 100% black to work 5 days a week, so my wardrobe resembles a black hole of a mess with the odd splash of colour and print.
Last weekend I was planning on attending a local Beer Festival with some of my closest friends and I knew that the weather was going to be hot and sunny for the whole four days, so I needed to hunt down some new pieces to wear for me to roll about the grass laughing whilst a little tipsy. I scrolled for what seemed like a decade through the pages of the ASOS Curve section and I spotted - excuse the pun - this little number and I fell head over heels in love with it. I quickly added it to my basket along with a few other bits and bobs and went straight to the checkout, because I know that a cute dress like this one will not last long on ASOS. Trust me.
When it arrived, I was over the moon with the amazing bold colour, print, fabric and the overall fit of the dress. I just added a wee black leather belt to my waist to give me a better shape - and to shorten the dress a little because it would be a sin to cover up my amazing pins haha. I finally felt like I got my mojo back with my style. My confidence to go out in public came back too, as I spent 2 hours shooting several looks for my blog and my social media content. The good thing about being married is that I have my very own photographer at hand. So E was loving life.
How would YOU style this look? Or is animal print not for you?
