Liz Earle Skincare saved my skin...
In a previous post, I talked about how we (the general public) spends more money on make up than we do on skincare. We would rather cover up the issue rather than try and fix it. Lately I have had a lack of confidence and one of the reasons was because my skin had a reaction and I had no idea why.

I am quite lucky with my skin because it is quite clear with the occasional break out on my chin - but we all get break outs, right? Every time I would have a break out, I couldn't leave my skin alone. Always prodding my face and examining my skin up close in any morrow that is at hand. The last break out that I had was the worst that I have had in a while. My skin was sore and nothing seemed to sooth my skin. My eyelids took a reaction to something and I had red raw skin across my eyelids, stopping me from applying liquid eyeliner because the pain was intense. I know you probably think I am an idiot for trying to apply makeup to damaged skin, but it was a force of habit. For the last 10 years I have applied winged eyeliner, so I just automatically reached for it.

Whilst I tried to sooth my skin, I avoided putting anything on my eyes except for E45 - praying that it would work a miracle. Still, nothing worked. I went into Boots to look for a product that would rescue my skin and I decided to look more into Liz Earle Skincare. Liz Earle was effected by eczema and took it upon herself to create a brand that would cater to others. I have never been diagnosed with eczema before, but I wanted to try something. Anything.
For just over £40 I purchased the starter kit and I couldn't wait to get started.

I cleanse my skin with the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish then remove it with a muslin cloth (provided in kit) after it has been soaked in hot water. I then use the Liz Earle Gentle Face Exfoliator, followed by the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic. Once I have used those three products, I finish the skincare ritual with the Liz Earle Skin Repair Moisturiser and my skin is left feeling so smooth - it is a miracle.

Over the course of the first week, I photographed my skin on a daily basis to show you the progress of my skin. Now, I am a little nervous about sharing these photos as the images are similar to that of a prison mugshot. But oh well. Sharing is Caring after all.
I cannot live without the Liz Earle Skincare Routine now. No going back.
