Half way through the year already? Disgusting.
The tasks I set myself this month weren’t that hard. Except one. Being Real.
No. 1 Being Real - As we approach one of the biggest days of my life, I have come to realise what I need to do. I need to be more real. I need to actually speak my mind, open up a little more and stop apologising for everything. If people don’t want to make an effort with me, then why should I make an effort with them? That kind of thing. This is one goal that I knew was going to be a bit of a struggle for me. “Being Real” is quite hard when you don’t want to hurt peoples opinions, but I am learning to say “No!” when I feel it is necessary so I don’t get messed around. I find that it is quite liberating. No. 2 Luxe Beauty Buys - This month I need to finalise what I want to do with my make up for the wedding. I have my eye on a few beautiful pieces from Bobbi Brown and Charlotte Tilbury, so I just have to choose and purchase those items. What beauty products would you recommend I buy for my wedding day make up? So I purchased a few Luxe Beauty items and there is NO REGRETS. I fell in love with a palette from Bobbi Brown along with a make up set and eyeshadow from BB too. I just had to get them. Plus, the make up set was on offer and I got 20% off my order online, so what is not to like? I cannot wait to play with it all, but I need to photograph it all first - sucks to be a blogger sometimes. No. 3 Home - A few months ago I talked about doing a big Spring Cleaning session across my house, but guess what? I have to do it again. I am so bad at collecting shit. Sitting here typing this, I can see a silver fairy wand sitting on the bookcase. Where on Earth did that come from? I just need to strip everything back. I finally got round to cleaning up the house this week. Just getting rid of stuff that I held on to for no good reason. Secret hoarder alert. I even got round to cleaning out my beauty corner. Giving products to some friends and binning the stuff that I haven’t touched in a while and it looks a little dodgy. It was well needed. No. 4 Hair - I am booking myself in to Linton & Mac to get my hair cut, coloured and restyled. I have an image in mind and I hope that it turns out alright because if anything goes wrong, I don’t have much time to get it fixed before the wedding. Last week I had my hair appointment at Linton & Mac and I am so happy with it. I got more blonde put through it and I got a good chop. I did want to take it a little shorter again, but I thought against it as I want to tie it up for the big day. No. 5 Nails - I really miss having acrylic nails and having amazing nail art. I have been going mad over on Pinterest, pinning different nail looks that I love. So I cannot wait to get them done again. They make me so happy. The only goal that I haven’t achieved. I really need to make an appointment and get my nails sorted. Time is just flying. Where is it going?
What have you achieved this month?
