When it comes to lipstick, I have a problem. I clearly love them abit too much - hell, I named my blog after it.
Black lipstick was always connected with the make up choice for the subculture of Punks, Goths and Emos but it has transitioned in to a lot of beauty counters for everyday use for those who love a statement lip.
Now, when I planned on writing this blog post I was going to be blunt with the writing and just say something like "just bloody wear it" but then that would be too easy, and it did take me a while to pluck up and try it out. So I am going to give some tips on how I wear black lipstick, and I would love to know your thoughts.
I like to wear hoop earrings with them to try and make my look more edgy. When I first took home my 'Noir' lipstick from New Look, E was not that impressed. He couldn't understand why I would choose to wear this. But I just love th elook of it. He did like it more once I styled it though - or so he says.
If you do plan on rocking the black lipstick look, just make sure you take a compact mirror with you and your concealer because you will need to correct the lipstick if you have something to eat or drink. Like I said, black smudges around your lips are not that attractive.
What are your thoughts on black lipstick?
