Keeping you up to date with my Goals for January.
So, at the beginning of the month I wrote a list of Goals for January and it seemed to be quite popular among my readers across all my social media. So before it strikes midnight, I thought I would keep you updated with how I got on with my January Goals.
No.1 - Wardrobe. This month, I really need to gut out my wardrobe. Actually I really need to gut out my bedroom. I have a mountain of shoes that need to be thrown out or donated - I don’t wear half of them or I have loved some of them too much and worn them down to the point I am in agony when I wear them for long periods of time. I used to wear bold colours and wild prints, but as I have grown up my taste has developed too. I only own a few pieces of colour and the rest is black, white and grey with a mix of different denim. I love the way that my wardrobe has developed. I have managed to clear out some of my wardrobe, but I still need to be tough with some pieces that I know I will never wear again but I just don’t have the heart to say goodbye. I have purchased a few new pieces, trying to stick to a minimal style. Good strong basics, key denim and some trendy knitwear pieces. No.2 - Planning. Like I wrote in my 2017 Goals post, I need to try and be more consistent with my Blog work and this begins with Planning. Sitting down, planning ideas and committing to them. If I don’t do this, then nothing will happen. This is something that I have managed to achieve. BOOM! My last day off, I sat down and brainstormed ideas for my blog and I am so surprised at how much I managed to achieve. There is still not enough sunlight up here to take a bounty of photographs. But I am managing to write out blog posts and I am just waiting patiently for the sun to appear to take some snaps. So stay tuned. No.3 - Be Brave. When it comes to my personal style, I already have a “screw you” attitude. If I want to wear it, I will. So when I talk about being “Brave” I refer to my Blog post ideas. I have wrote a few different posts that talk about more life issues rather than just my favourite lipstick at the moment. I guess that I have always been scared of posting discussion posts because of the negativity that might come from it, but hey, let’s see what happens. The first post that I have written is about putting your personal life online. So fingers crossed it goes down well, you can read about it here. I am trying to be more open and honest about different life posts. So I have some lined up. I just need to grow those balls and post them. No.4 - Babies. No. Not mine. My best friend. Her baby is about to make an appearance any day now and I cannot wait to meet the little monster. I am planning on taking time off to go back home and help her out with the baby. My role will mostly consist on making sure my best friend eats properly and to remind her that no matter how exhausted she is, her pyjamas are NOT for outdoors. I cannot wait. Well. The baby has arrived and she is the most precious thing I have ever held in my arms. I cried when I met her. I didn’t want to let her go. It will be next month when I go through and look after my best friend and the mini version of her. She is just so beautiful. I want to eat her feet. Is that weird? Tomorrow I will be launching my Fabuary Goals, so I need to be on it.
What were your Goals for January, and what did you achieve?
