Right. This year has just disappeared. How on earth has this happened? I am so late to the game with my monthly goals list too. Time is just escaping me.
So far this month, the weather has been a little tricky. Strong cold winds and snow - very nippy. I have been trying to get more in to the Christmas spirit though. Christmas has never been my cup of tea, so for the sake of my friends and family I am going to try and enjoy it a little more. The tree is up, the presents are [nearly] all bought and I think my little ice heart is thawing. I am enjoying the festive period a little more than I would before and I am trying not to be too Scrooge-like.
Here are some of my plans for December that I want to do before the month is out.
No.1 De-Clutter & Depop - A lot of people like to de-clutter after the New Year or springtime but I often feel the need to do it through out the year, as I tend to clutter up my house with lots of trinkets, ornaments or just plain old shite. One thing I definitely need to be better at is de-cluttering my wardrobe. I have lots of clothes that I have worn once or twice, or shoes that have never seen the light of day. So I just need to sort that out and get it up on Depop. Find me – @thelipstickdaily
No.2 Hallway Art – I have a long white hallway in my house and I have so many framed pieces of art or original paintings stored away. I really need to dig them out and arrange them beautifully in my hallway to give it the love that it needs. Pinterest is always a great place for inspiration and then the sudden realisation that I do not have high ceilings and lots of natural light. But it is still inspiring.
No.3 Eat, Drink & Be Merry – Like I said at the beginning of this post, I really want to enjoy Christmas a little more. So if that means having a wee mince pie and watching Christmas movies, then so be it. Let’s do it.
