Finding plus size inspiration for wardrobe pieces is so much easier now thanks to social media and Pinterest. It makes me feel more confident in my own style now.
This particular look is my go to casual look - black jeans, white tee, denim jacket and shoes. Pretty simple. Because I feel comfortable in this outfit, I feel more confident. I honestly think that comfort should come first because as soon as there is any discomfort when wearing an outfit then others notice. If I feel a little awkward in an outfit, I start to feel paranoid. Almost like I am waiting for someone to point out that the outfit doesn’t look right so that I can change. Almost like I need reassurance for my look.
I used to feel like that a lot. That has changed now. I am feeling more confident about my style and my body. So I am putting myself out there a little more. On my Instagram, I would just post pouty selfies and flatlays of beauty products. But now I am featuring full body shots and style moments.
Since making it a bit more personal, I have seen it grow and so has my confidence.
There are only a few places that truly love to shop for myself. ASOS will always be the No.1 love of my life. I love the product and I love the styling. Every now and then I will get a wee girl crush on a model and anything she wears, I need to buy. It is so bad for my bank balance. New Look is also a great place to shop – actually this whole look is from New Look. Don’t get me wrong, some times they don’t really hit the nail on the head with the latest trends, but they do have some great key items. You just have to look for them.
Like these boots.
These boots are perfect for this season. Boots are my favourite style of shoe – probably because I bloody love Autumn. I have never owned a pair of patent boots before so I don’t know how they will keep or how they will be when the weather is a bit wetter. But I will just have to keep them as safe as possible.
