The Season has change so it is time to update my wardrobe...
As most of you know, ASOS is my go to place for online shopping. I believe that it is the most trendiest website that caters for the plus size woman. The styles are on point and I have never had an issue with sizing that couldn't be easily fixed. I have pulled together some of my favourite pieces that I am hoping to add to my Autumn/Winter wardrobe. I have already talked about all the shoes that I want, you can read about it here.
The cardigan in the top left corner is not technically "outerwear", but I wouldn't want to cover up this stylish shaggy piece. A leather biker jacket is a wardrobe staple for all year round, but it would look amazing with a fur collar attached. When I wear my biker jacket, I use it to funk up a basic outfit - jeans and a white tee is a classic look, throw on that biker jacket and you are good to go. Embroidery is massive this season, so I wanted to feature it somewhere in my Wardrobe Staples post. I love it on accessories normally, but seeing it on the sleeve of this denim jacket just makes me love the trend more. As for the satin mac... wow. I just love this. Similar to the biker jacket, this coat can elevate your look higher. Turn your look from basic to chic in just one move.
Blue jeans. Black jeans. Easy. Leather wrap round skirt to show off your curves. The pleated leather effect skirt is one of my favourite styles for A/W, I have wrote it previously and I just love how you can mix up the styling of it. With my shape in particular, I am a bit wary about pleats because I don't want to bring more attention to my middle. So styling for me has to be on point.
I wanted to keep my choices of tops light so I went for a classic white tee, light grey sweater, grid printed cami and this amazing white, cold shoulder ruffle blouse - which I am sure has featured in another post. It is quite easy to just wear dark colours in Winter because it reflects the weather and how dark it is when we get up. So I wanted to bring some light tones in to my selection.
I have chosen quite a random selection of dresses. We have a classic wiggle dress, a 90s slip with lace trim, a boho floral shirt dress and then a grey t-shirt dress that looks like it has seen better days. I have no real reason as to why I have chosen all these different styles, other than my daily style can change depending on my mood. One day I just want to slum it with some lipstick, other days I can spend ages getting myself ready because I am feeling fierce. So it just depends on my mood.
My favourite part. Accessories. Do I really need to explain why I have chosen these pieces? I am in love with all of them. That pom pom scarf is not going to keep me as warm as the oversized blanket scarf, but when it looks that good... who thinks like that? I am a sucker for vintage inspired handbags, so the crocodile skin bag is right up my street. Drawstring bucket bags are my favourite style, and this bag is just perfect. It is so simple that it can transition for all outfits. A leather glove is essential for this time of year and mixing it with a grey knit detail really modernises the black leather glove.
ASOS is my favourite place to shop and I just cannot wait to get my fingers on some of these pieces.
