When trying to discover that perfect base. How far are you willing to go? I have met several foundations in different formulas from different brands, But have I found 'The One' with this contouring base from L'Oreal Paris?
The whole point of this product is that you use it as a base cover to begin contouring. I have used it as a foundation to test it out and I just don't feel it. I'm not in love. I love a foundation that has a light coverage for day time, but is easy to build for full coverage for an evening look. This has the ability to build coverage but I find that it can be quite cakey by the end of the day. I almost feel the need to remove it all and reapply it again before the day is even out.
This particular base formula has a very strange element to it. When I apply it to my face - using a beauty blender or foundation bush - it always looks too dark for my skin tone. But after a little while, it matches perfectly. It oxidises and changes colour. Has anyone else found this when it comes to products? This particular product only comes in two shades - Light and Dark. I know that a lot of people have been upset about this, but I think it is because the point of this product is to use it in your contouring routine.
This foundation is one of the lowest priced foundations I have tried, costing just £8.99 from L'Oreal Paris, but I don't think it is the worst base I have tried. However I do not think I will be reaching for another bottle - unless I have been using it wrong? But I highly doubt that.
Do you love this product? I would love to hear your thoughts.
