The time has come to try something new. I needed to find a new foundation and concealer so I went to Boots and discovered something new for myself.
I have been a loyal customer to L'Oréal Paris for as long as I could remember and I can only think of one product that didn't agree with me. But there is no point in dwelling on the negative, this corner of the Internet that I call mine is about positivity and love - a bit cheesy, but that is what I want from the Blogging World. Anyway. I shall continue with talking about finding my True Match with L'Oréal Paris.
Whilst browsing the L'Oréal stand in my local Boots store I was intrigued by their True Match foundation and La Touche Magique concealed. I reached for a tester that looked similar to my skin tone and I was pleasantly surprised with how true the colour was. When I got home and started to photograph the products, I had a moment of panic when the two different products had two different shades. I thought that I had grabbed the wrong one, but when I applied them to my face, the panic melted away when they began to blend beautifully.
The formula for the L'Oréal Paris True Match Foundation is easy to blend - well, it even says that on the front of the bottle - and it does not look too matte. With other foundations that I have tried, I find that it sits in the lines on my forehead and empathises them more, but with this particular foundation, it does not sit heavy in the lines. It feels light on the skin and I don't feel the need to top it up throughout day - apart from on my nose, but that it because I have a combination skin type and my nose is slightly oily.
I am a true lover of the L'Oréal Paris Cushion Foundation and bronzer because it gives you the perfect dewy finish (read about that posts here). For days when I want more coverage, I will reach for the True Match bottle instead.
The L'Oréal Paris True Match La Touhe Magique Concealer is a great partner for the foundation. the liquid concealer pumps up through the brush applicator and is easy to apply. I don't like to blend with this brush, I use it just to apply the formula. I prefer to use a beauty blender to create a flawless finish. With concealers, I only use them under my eyes. I do not apply concealer to any spots because I don't want to spread the bacteria.
L'Oréal Paris have recently relaunched their True Match range because they have added more shades of their foundation. Their range now contains 23 shades and matched 98% of the UK skinniness - how amazing is that? They have even developed their shades to have the perfect match for Warm, Neautral and Cool undertones.
