Oh to be Seventeen again. Probably one of the best years of my life. That year was the final (and best) year in school; I moved from a small village to a big city by myself. Oh and I met E. At that age, the only make up I used was liquid eyeliner and mascara. Nothing else. Heck, I was 21 years old when I first used foundation, so I was quite a late bloomer in the beauty sense. Now? Now I have a little addiction.
Trying to find out what brands were the best for me took a while. I have my favourite drug store brands, but I do tend to favour the more expensive brands. One brand that I turned away from as I grew older was Seventeen. I used some of their products when I was younger, but I felt like I outgrew them. Until now...
A couple of months ago I was on holiday and made an effort NOT to wear make up. That's right. I left my make up bag at home and only wore liquid eyeliner when I felt like I needed rescuing - I wanted to let my skin clear up and breathe. Towards the end of the holiday I felt a bit pale so I nipped into the local Boots store and clocked this lip crayon from Seventeen. The tester looked highly pigmented and really glossy, at only £4.99 I thought that I couldn't go wrong.
I was pleasantly surprised by the length of time that it stayed on my lips, only needing to top it up once or twice. The colour is really vibrant and makes a fantastic impact. It also left my lips feeling hydrated and soft. Now I am tempted to try out the other colours and the other products that Seventeen have to offer.
