What are you trying to hide?
In a previous post I was spoke about my excitement to try the New Look Pure Colour Cosmetics range. Out of all the products that I purchased from the range, I was the most eager to try out the New Look Pure Colour Concealer first.
Removing the concealer from it's beautifully designed packaging, I was underwhelmed by the style of case that they have chosen to use for their concealer. To be honest, the casing feels rather cheap and it took roughly about 30 clicks to get the concealer out. The concealer comes out through long white bristles and the brush is designed to help you achieve precision application of the product, but I found that it didn't apply the product as evenly as I hoped. I like to use the brush to apply the concealer, but then I have to buff it out with a beauty blender because the bristles just seem to move the product around. On a positive note, the coverage of this product is fantastic though.
The colour matches my skin tone perfectly and I find the formula to be really buildable. There are some days where I don't want to apply a full face of make up, just concealer. So if I want to cover my under eye area or any blemishes, then it is achievable to blend out the concealer so that I don't have to apply foundation after.
The amount of New Look Pure Colour Concealer that is in the tube is disappointingly low, but then I have to remind myself that it only costs £3.99 online and instore. So maybe I shouldn't complain about that too much.
Now. I have to ask myself, is this on of my favourite concealers? Looking at the packaging alone, I wouldn't think it was my favourite. But the formula is a strong contender. I wouldn't say it was at the top of my list of favourite concealers, but it is on the list.
What is your favourite concealer?
